LADY LAKE, FL – Police said a multi-vehicle accident in Lady Lake last week sent two drivers to the hospital.
The Villages-News reports that the incident occurred Wednesday evening in the area of County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road shortly after 6:30 p.m.
A police investigation indicated that the driver of a sedan was headed west on County Road 466, entered the left turn lane where traffic was backed up at the light, and collided with a vehicle merging into the left turn lane.
The impact pushed the second vehicle into a third vehicle in the center lane of traffic. The first vehicle then continued over the center median and struck a fourth vehicle making a turn at the intersection.
The woman driving the first vehicle was taken to UF Health Spanish Planes Hospital for head pain, and was issued a ticket there by a police officer for reckless driving. One of the other drivers involved was transported to the same hospital with neck and back pain.
