OAKLAND PARK, FL – Six people were hospitalized Saturday night following a collision in Oakland Park, NBC Miami reports.

The collision took place at about 9:30 p.m. on Oakland Park Boulevard, between 13th Avenue and 14th Avenue.

Firefighters say two vehicles were involved in the crash. However, the circumstances leading up to the incident are not mentioned in the report.

MIAMI, FL – First responders were called to the scene of a collision with injuries in downtown Miami last Friday night.

According to WPLG, the crash took place on Northwest Seventh Street near the intersection with 19th Street, just east of Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are not mentioned in the report. However, police say bystanders rusehd to assist the injured parties.

MIAMI, FL – A woman was hospitalized and a man was taken into custody following a police chase and resulting crash in southwest Miami on Sunday night.

According to a report by Local 10, officers responded to reports of reckless driving in the area of Carver Drive and Lincoln Boulevard. When officers attempted to stop one of the suspects, he took off.

After a brief pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a bus near Southwest 120th Street and 117th Avenue.

LUTZ, FL – A multi-vehicle accident on State Road 54 last week left one person dead and several others injured.

According to the Suncoast News, the collision took place west of Heron Cove Drive Wednesday afternoon shortly after 4:30 p.m.  The Florida Highway Patrol said a man driving a sedan west on State Road 54 went across the median and hit an SUV headed east.  The sedan then struck another eastbound vehicle, a van, and all three vehicles came to rest in the eastbound lanes.

The driver of the sedan, a 53-year-old man from Lutz, died at the scene.  The SUV driver, a 52-year-old Land O’Lakes man, was seriously injured.  The driver of the van, a 49-year-old Port Richey woman, and two boys ages 11 and 9 riding with her sustained minor injuries.

MIAMI-DADE CO., FL – Major traffic delays were reported following a collision on I-95 in the Hollywood area this morning.

According to a report by Total Traffic Miami, the fire was reported at about 6:24 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway near the exit to Hollywood Boulevard.

MIAMI, FL – A fiery crash in the Miami Gardens area this morning left three people injured, according to WPLG.

Police say the driver of a Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 3700 block of NW 213th Street when it slammed into two other vehicles.

The Corvette’s driver was able to get of the vehicle before it caught fire. That individual was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said three people were injured, one critically, in a multi-vehicle wreck in the Brooksville area Wednesday morning.

According to the Citrus County Chronicle, the crash happened in the vicinity of U.S. 98 and Lake Lindsey Road at about 7:30 a.m.  State troopers said a woman was driving an SUV east on Lake Lindsey Road when she entered the intersection from a stop sign and a flashing red signal.

The vehicle entered into the path of a semitractor-trailer going south on U.S. 98 and the SUV was struck by the semi.  The impact caused the SUV to collide with two pickup trucks that were stopped in the left turn lane of U.S. 98.  One of the pickups then flipped onto its roof.

THE VILLAGES, FL – A pedestrian accident at a shopping plaza in The Villages last week claimed the life of a 76-year-old woman, the Villages-News reported.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of a gas station at Lake Deaton Plaza on Thursday just before noon.  The Florida Highway Patrol said in its accident report that the victim was walking in the parking lot when she was hit by a pickup truck.  The woman, a resident of Wildwood, was pronounced dead of her injuries after being taken to an area hospital.

The driver of the pickup, a 58-year-old man from Orlando, told the FHP that he did not see the woman before hitting her with the vehicle.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver was killed when his pickup truck was involved in a crash in Pasco County.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the victim was a 62-year-old man from Tampa who was driving a Ford F-150.  State troopers said he was headed north on Tupelo Lane in Wesley Chapel shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday morning when he was unable to negotiate a right turn at the intersection with Thistle Court.

The Ford went off the roadway and slammed into the garage of a local home.  The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.  He was wearing a seat belt at the time, the FHP said.

LAKE COUNTY, FL – A driver died after his car collided with a pickup truck in Lake County last week, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The Leesburg-News reports the accident took place Sept. 28 on County Road 48 near Ranch Road shortly before 12:30 p.m.  The FHP said a man was driving a Toyota CH-R when the vehicle began to hydroplane.  The driver lost control and the vehicle entered the path of a 2020 Ford F-150 pickup truck, leading to the collision.

The driver of the Toyota, a 38-year-old Howey-in-the-Hills man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, a 35-year-old Howey-in-the-Hills man, was taken to South Lake Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
