How Can You Stay Safe at Theme Parks?

When you visit theme parks, like Sea World, Busch Gardens, Disney, Universal, etc. you are entering the equivalent of a small city. The same accidents that happen in small cities, can happen at these theme parks. Just because you are on vacation or having a fun outing with your family and friends does not mean that you are immune to accidents. Car accidents, bus accidents, slip and falls, ride-related incidents, and more can all happen at amusement parks.

Here are a few tips to stay safe when visiting a theme park:

  • Research the park’s layout and attractions so you can familiarize yourself with the property.
  • Plan a group meeting spot in case anyone gets accidentally separated.
  • Stay hydrated throughout the day.
  • Keep your personal belongings secure.
  • Follow all ride instructions, and make sure you are in good health for more intense rides. If you have neck or back injuries, heart problems, or are pregnant, then you may need to steer clear of roller coasters.
  • Look out for safety hazards, like wet floors, caution signs, dark areas, etc.
  • Always keep your eyes on your children, especially when near water attractions, rides, and crowded areas.
  • Make sure your phone is fully charged for a day at the park.
  • If something seems suspicious, report it to park staff right away.
