HUDSON, FL – An accident near a school bus in Pasco County last Wednesday afternoon sent a teenager to the hospital, according to Pasco News Online.
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Hudson at about 3:05 p.m. Authorities said a Pasco County school bus had stopped at the intersection of East Road and Kodiak Avenue, and had its lights activated while dropping off students.
As a 13-year-old girl walked across the highway, she was struck by a southbound Mercury sedan whose driver, a 59-year-old Port Richey man, failed to stop.
The girl, a Hudson resident, was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
