News: Driver killed in collision with road-marking truck on U.S. 301

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A collision on U.S. 301 in Pasco County last Tuesday night claimed the life of a driver.

WTSP reported the victim was a 32-year-old woman from Citra, Florida.  The Florida Highway Patrol said she was driving north on the highway at about 10:34 p.m. when she lost control of her car near Mattingly Drive.

The vehicle crossed the median into the southbound lanes and collided nearly head-on with a road-marking truck.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the truck and a passenger were not injured in the crash.
