NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a car and a motorcycle were involved in a deadly collision in Pasco County on Monday morning.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the incident took place at the intersection of Broadmoor Road and Rowan Road at about 11:15 a.m.
The FHP said a 24-year-old New Port Richey man was driving a sedan east on Broadmoor Drive when he turned into the intersection and struck a motorcycle that was going south on Rowan Road.
The motorcycle rider, a 69-year-old man from New Port Richey, was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. The driver of the car was not injured.
