News: Motorcyclist killed in collision with vehicle on CR-452 in Lake County

LEESBURG, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Lake County Tuesday morning that left a motorcyclist dead, WKMG reports.

The incident took place on County Road 452 near Sandpiper Drive in Leesburg.  A Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Hyundai Sonata at that location at about 11:51 a.m., according to state troopers.

The operator of the motorcycle died after being transported to AdventHealth Waterman.  The driver of the Sonata and a passenger were not injured and stayed at the scene.

It was not yet clear what led to the crash, which shut down County Road 452.
