OCALA, FL – A collision involving multiple vehicles in West Ocala Wednesday morning left two people injured, WCJB reports.

The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. along Southwest Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue near the Ed Croskey Recreation Center.

First responders discovered two vehicles severely damaged at the scene. Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital, one with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

MARION COUNTY, FL – A woman died after being hit by a garbage truck along south US-441 Saturday morning, reports the Ocala StarBanner.

A 51-year-old man from Ocala was driving a garbage truck southbound on US-441 on the inside lanes near SE 172nd Road. A pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway just after a hillcrest when the truck hit her.

The victim was identified only as a 21-year-old woman from Holiday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

OCALA, FL – Two people suffered critical injuries after being involved in a collision at an Ocala intersection on Wednesday.

According to the Ocala StarBanner, a person on a motor scooter was stopped at the traffic signal of Pine Avenue and Silver Springs Boulevard. The light turned green and they made a left turn headed west on Silver Springs Boulevard.

A bicyclist traveling southbound on Pine Avenue crossed the boulevard without stopping. They collided with the motor scooter at the intersection.

MARION COUNTY, FL – A man died after he was struck by a driver in a pickup while riding a mini-bike in Marion County Monday morning.

According to the Ocala StarBanner, the crash happened near Northeast 42nd Street and Northeast 16th Avenue around 6:40 a.m. A driver in a pickup was headed westbound when he collided with the eastbound mini-bike and fled the scene.

34-year-old Justin McCullough of Ocala was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash involving a fatality.

OCALA, FL – Students were injured after a serious school bus collision in Marion County on Wednesday reports WSVN.

The crash happened as the school bus driver was stopped with the lights activated to let students off near Ocala. As several students were exiting the bus, a 34-year-old driver in a tractor-trailer slammed into the bus.

A total of ten students were on the bus. Five were taken to the hospital, with two of the victims in serious condition.

OCALA, FL – A 90-year-old man was fatally struck by a driver while crossing a road in Ocala on Wednesday morning.

According to News6, Eugene Aldrich was attempting to cross the roadway near the 2200 block of E. Silver Springs Boulevard. A westbound driver was in the outside lane attempting to merge into the inside lane when they struck the man.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.

OCALA, FL – Two people suffered injuries after a rollover crash in Ocala Tuesday morning, reports News6.

The accident happened between drivers in a Hyundai sedan and an Acura SUV around 8 a.m. The vehicles collided at SW 60th Avenue at SW 38th Street causing the Hyundai to flip onto its roof.

The driver and passenger of the overturned car were both taken to the hospital with injuries.

MARION COUNTY, FL – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on State Road 40 in Marion County Sunday, reports Ocala-News.

The motorcyclist was traveling westbound along State Road 40 near State Road 19 when he attempted to pass a westbound sedan. He struck an oncoming pickup truck head-on, which caused the pickup to hit the sedan.

Authorities pronounced the motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man from Spring Hill, deceased at the scene.

OCALA, FL – Three people were taken to a hospital after being injured at an Ocala intersection Wednesday morning, reports Ocala-News.

Two SUVs collided at State Road 200 and SW 20th Street around 11:30 a.m. A driver in one of the SUVs and two occupants of the other were all taken to a local hospital with injuries.

The condition of those involved or what caused the crash is not clear at this time.

OCALA, FL – One person sustained injuries in a car crash involving two vehicles in Marion County Thursday afternoon.

According to WCJB, the collision was between two drivers in a Dodge pickup and a Mitsubishi SUV. One of the vehicles was T-boned in the crash.

The driver of the SUV was extracted from their vehicle and transported to an area hospital.
