OCALA, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly collision in Marion County on Monday.

WKMG reports a sedan and a pickup truck collided on State Road 200 near SW 62nd Court at about 5 p.m.  According to state troopers, the driver of a pickup truck was going west when he went across the grass median for unknown reasons and entered the eastbound lanes of State Road 200.

The front of the pickup crashed into an eastbound sedan driven by a 65-year-old woman from Ocala.  The woman was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.

OCALA, FL – An accident in Ocala Tuesday morning sent two people to the hospital and affected traffic, police said.

According to the Ocala Police Department’s Facebook post, the crash occurred at the intersection of N. Pine Avenue and State Road 40.  The two people taken to the hospital sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

All northbound lanes on Pine Avenue from State Road 200 to State Road 40 were blocked, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.  All other lanes of traffic were open.  No details were released on what led to the crash.

OCALA, FL – Two drivers were injured, one critically, when their vehicles collided at an intersection in Ocala last week.

A report by the Ocala Star-Banner said the incident happened Monday at Northeast Osceola Avenue and Northeast 10th Street.

According to police, the driver of a Mitsubishi Eclipse was going south on Osceola Avenue and pulled out in front of a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck going west on Northeast 10th Street.  The pickup truck T-boned the Mitsubishi.

OCALA, FL – Rescue crews responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in southeast Ocala on Monday.

According to a Facebook post from Ocala Fire Rescue, the accident happened in the area of SE 19th Avenue and SE 31st Street at about 7 a.m.

Crew members arrived to find that an SUV and a pickup truck had collided at that location.  One person was trauma alerted and three others, including two minors, were evaluated as a precaution.  No other injuries were reported.
