PASCO COUNTY, FL – A collision in Land O’Lakes left two people injured, including a Pasco County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Pasco News Online reported details of the incident, which occurred Tuesday evening at 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 54 and Collier Parkway.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the 26-year-old deputy was driving a marked Pasco County Chevy Tahoe north on Collier Parkway with his emergency lights and siren activated.  As the deputy began proceeding through the intersection with SR-54, the driver of a westbound Lexus sedan failed to stop and collided with the Tahoe.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Pasco County that killed an elderly driver.

Pasco News Online reports the incident happened Feb. 10 in the vicinity of State Road 52 and Little Road.  According to the FHP, the driver of a Jeep Cherokee was heading east on SR-52 at about 12:08 p.m. when he tried to make a left turn into the entrance of a plaza.

The Jeep entered the path of a single-unit commercial truck going west and the truck crashed into the Jeep, causing it to rotate and flip.

PASCO COUNTY, FL –  Two people were injured when a Pasco County fire truck was involved in a collision last Wednesday evening, Feb. 5, according to Pasco News Online.

The truck was responding to a previous fatal accident and was headed south on Little Road with its emergency lights activated.   At the same time, the driver of a Honda pickup truck was going north on Little Road at a high rate of speed.

As the driver of the fire truck turned left into a private drive, the driver of the pickup was not slowing down or stopping, and crashed into the fire truck.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – Two vehicles were involved in a deadly collision in Pasco County last week, Fox13News reports.

The incident occurred Feb. 5 at the intersection of Little Road and San Miguel Drive in New Port Richey.   The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck was going south at a high rate of speed at about 7 p.m.  when a Toyota 4Runner heading north on Little Road turned into the path of the Dodge.

The vehicles collided, causing the Dodge to catch fire.  The Toyota driver and a passenger were killed while another passenger in the Toyota was seriously injured.  The Dodge driver, a 27-year-old man from Port Richey, was also seriously hurt.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A collision at an intersection in New Port Richey Wednesday night killed a motorcycle rider, Pasco News Online reported.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the multi-vehicle accident, which happened shortly before 7 p.m. in the area of State Road 54 and Riverrun Road.

The FHP said the driver of a Nissan SUV was trying to turn from SR-54 onto Riverrun Road when the vehicle entered the path of a westbound Yamaha motorcycle, resulting in a collision.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – One driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided in Pasco County early Saturday morning, according to a WTSP report.

An investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol determined that a man was driving a Corvette at a high rate of speed on westbound State Road 54 at about 3 a.m. when he lost control on a curve east of Starkey Boulevard.  The Corvette went across the center median, rotated, and entered the path of an eastbound Mercedes C300, resulting in a collision.  The impact caused the Corvette to catch fire.

The Corvette driver, a 23-year-old man from Port Richey, died at the scene.  The other driver, a 43-year-old Hudson man, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A two-vehicle wreck at a Pasco County intersection Thursday night left one of the drivers dead, WTVT reports.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a Chevy Silverado was headed east on County Line Road at about 7:45 p.m., and went through a red light at the corner of U.S. 41.   The Silverado slammed into a Toyota Tundra that was going north on U.S. 41, killing the Tundra driver, a 69-year-old Land O’Lakes man.

The Silverado driver, a 38-year-old San Antonio man, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A multi-vehicle collision in Pasco County Wednesday morning left one of the drivers seriously injured, WTSP reports.

The  accident happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 at about 7:45 a.m.  The Florida Highway Patrol said it began when the driver of a car changed lanes into the path of a semi-truck and was hit by the semi.  The car then hit a vehicle that was stopped in traffic.

The semi-truck continued forward and hit a pickup truck  and another semi that were also stopped in the traffic.  The driver of the pickup truck, a 50-year-old Brooksville man, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly multi-vehicle accident that occurred in San Antonio, Pasco County on Sunday morning, WFLA reports.

According to the FHP, the driver of a Hyundai Tucson was making a turn at the intersection of State Road 52 and Old Tampa Bay Drive at about 10:30 a.m.  The Tucson turned in front of a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was going east on State Road 52, and the bike collided with the vehicle.  The Tucson was then re-directed into a semi-truck that had stopped at the intersection.

The motorcyclist, a 46-year-old San Antonio man, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.  The Tucson driver, an 81-year-old woman, and her passenger, an 87-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.  Both are from San Antonio.

LAND O’LAKES, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred Tuesday morning in Land O’Lakes, according to Pasco News Online.

State troopers said the driver of a Chevy Tahoe veered off the road while heading south on US-41 near Bell Lake Road at about 12:30 a.m.  The SUV went across a sidewalk and collided with a Honda Fit that was parked in a driveway.  The impact caused the Honda to go through an interior wall and hit a 37-year-old Tampa man, who was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries.  He was pronounced dead the following day.

The FHP is now searching for the driver of the Tahoe, described as a woman in her mid 30s.  She fled the scene on foot after the crash.
