PASCO COUNTY, FL – Two teenagers were killed when their car was involved in a rollover wreck in Pasco County early Monday, state troopers said.

A report by WTFS states that a total of five teens were in the vehicle when the accident occurred on US-41 in Lutz shortly after midnight.  The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a 2011 Honda Accord lost control of the vehicle near Northwood Drive and crashed into a ditch, where the car then overturned.

The driver, a 18-year-old Land O’Lakes man, and a back seat passenger, a 19-year-old Spring Hill woman, were thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.  The victims were not wearing seat belts, according to troopers.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – State troopers said a driver left the scene of a fatal bicycle accident in Pasco County, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a woman was riding a bicycle Sunday night in the area of Flint Street and Little Road when the incident took place at about 7:30 p.m.  As the bicyclist was headed south on the sidewalk along Little Road, she was involved in a collision with a vehicle going west at Flint Street.

The bicycle rider, a 46-year-old woman from New Port Richey, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.  A search is underway for the driver of the vehicle, though no description has been released as of yet.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A multi-vehicle accident in Pasco County left a motorcycle rider dead, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to a report by WFLA, the incident happened Sunday night on Interstate 75 near Blanton Road in Dade City at about 6:35 p.m.

The FHP said a 75-year-old motorcyclist was trying to merge from the I-75 entrance ramp and collided with a sedan in the right lane.  The motorcycle kept going into the center lane and was hit by a pickup truck.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – Five people were injured, two seriously, in a car wreck in Pasco County Saturday night.

A report by WFLA states that the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near San Antonio.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a sedan was changing lanes at high speed on I-75 at about 10:30 p.m. and lost control of the vehicle near mile marker 284.  The sedan rotated across the interstate, rear-ended another sedan, and then caught fire.  The second sedan overturned due to the impact.

Two male passengers in the first vehicle, ages 19 and 16, were seriously injured.  The 19-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries.  All the occupants were from Jacksonville.

HUDSON, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle in Pasco County early Wednesday morning.

WFLA reports the victim was walking in the travel lane of Bolton Avenue east of US-19 near Hudson when the accident happened shortly after midnight.

The pedestrian, a 51-year-old man, was in the path of a van nearing Omaha Street and was struck by the van.  The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – An elderly woman was killed in an accident while riding a bicycle in Pasco County Tuesday morning, state troopers said.

WFLA reports the 79-year-old victim was riding south on the Suncoast Trail when the crash took place shortly before 9:30 a.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bicyclist did not stop for a posted stop sign on the trail and ended up in the path of a van that was about to merge right to westbound Ridge Road.  The van and the bicycle collided and the bicycle rider, a New Port Richey resident, was declared dead after being transported to a hospital.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A pedestrian died after being struck by multiple vehicles on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to the Citrus County Chronicle, the incident began when a Ford Expedition broke down on I-75 south near Land O’Lakes Thursday shortly after 5 a.m.

The FHP said the two occupants of the Ford, a 41-year-old man and his 20-year-old son, were both impaired and got out of the vehicle that had stopped on the interstate.  The man, a Tampa resident, attempted to walk across I-75 but was hit by three different vehicles and suffered fatal injuries.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle in Pasco County Sunday night, reports WTSP.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim, a 46-year-old man, was riding north in the center lane of US-19 near State Road 54 when the accident took place shortly after 11:30 p.m.

State troopers said the bicycle rider was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old girl.  The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

LUTZ, FL – A multi-vehicle accident on State Road 54 last week left one person dead and several others injured.

According to the Suncoast News, the collision took place west of Heron Cove Drive Wednesday afternoon shortly after 4:30 p.m.  The Florida Highway Patrol said a man driving a sedan west on State Road 54 went across the median and hit an SUV headed east.  The sedan then struck another eastbound vehicle, a van, and all three vehicles came to rest in the eastbound lanes.

The driver of the sedan, a 53-year-old man from Lutz, died at the scene.  The SUV driver, a 52-year-old Land O’Lakes man, was seriously injured.  The driver of the van, a 49-year-old Port Richey woman, and two boys ages 11 and 9 riding with her sustained minor injuries.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver was killed when his pickup truck was involved in a crash in Pasco County.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the victim was a 62-year-old man from Tampa who was driving a Ford F-150.  State troopers said he was headed north on Tupelo Lane in Wesley Chapel shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday morning when he was unable to negotiate a right turn at the intersection with Thistle Court.

The Ford went off the roadway and slammed into the garage of a local home.  The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.  He was wearing a seat belt at the time, the FHP said.
